If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you have any questions, contact us at support@ligmar.io.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Personal information you disclose to us

In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us when you play and when you contact us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you create an account or sign in, play the game, use in-game chats, make purchases, or contact us. This includes:

  • Account and game data: your in-game nickname, characters, game progress, inventory, guild membership, settings (such as interface language), and similar data generated as you play.
  • Chat messages: messages you send in global, guild, and private in-game chats, and your list of blocked players.
  • Support requests: the content of your messages to support and the contact details you use to reach us (for example, your email address or messenger account).

Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

Information we receive from sign-in services and platforms

In Short: When you sign in with a third-party account or play on a third-party platform, we receive certain profile information from that service.

You can play as a guest or sign in with a third-party account. In that case, we receive and store the identification data that the sign-in or payment platform provides for authorization, as described in Section 5.

Purchase information

In Short: We keep a record of your purchases; we do not receive your card details.

When you make a purchase, we store the purchase record: the product, amount, currency, date, payment provider, the provider's transaction identifier, and the payment status. Your bank card details are entered on the payment provider's or platform's form and are not shared with us.

Information automatically collected

In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you use our Services.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information may include your IP address, the country determined from your IP address, connection type, browser name and version, time zone, device type, model and manufacturer, screen resolution, operating system, the platform you play on, session start and end times, and information about how you use the game (for example, in-game actions, battles, quests, and tutorial progress). This information is linked to your account identifier. It is needed to operate and secure the Services, show prices in the correct currency, and for our internal analytics and reporting.

Advertising and referral information

If you came to the game through an advertisement or a referral link, we store the campaign parameters of that link (for example, UTM tags, a partner name, and the partner's click identifier) and, for referral links, the player who invited you.

Push notification subscriptions

If you allow browser push notifications, we store the technical subscription data provided by your browser (the push endpoint and encryption keys), along with your browser's user agent and platform.

Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

  • To create your account and sign you in. We use your account identifier and the identifiers received from sign-in services and platforms to create your account, recognize you when you return, and keep guest and linked accounts working. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (the User Agreement).
  • To save your progress across platforms. If you link several sign-in services to one account, we use their identifiers so that you can continue playing with the same progress on another device or platform. Legal basis: performance of contract.
  • To process payments and deliver purchases. We create orders, pass the necessary order data to the payment provider or platform, receive payment confirmations, credit purchased items to your account, and keep purchase records. We also use your account language and the country determined from your IP address to show prices in the appropriate currency. Legal basis: performance of contract; compliance with legal obligations (tax and accounting).
  • To provide support. We use your account data and your messages to answer your requests and resolve problems, such as missing purchases or account access issues. Legal basis: performance of contract; our legitimate interests.
  • To send service notifications. We send in-game notifications, messages through our bots in the messengers linked to your account (for example, about guild and party events, completed activities, bonuses, moderation decisions, and game news), and browser push notifications if you have allowed them. Legal basis: performance of contract; our legitimate interests; your consent for browser push notifications.
  • To keep the game secure and fair. We use account, purchase, and technical data to protect the Services, limit abuse (for example, request rate limits and caps on rewarded advertising), investigate and prevent payment fraud and chargeback abuse, and take measures against cheats, bots, and exploits, including account blocking. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in a secure and fair game; performance of contract.
  • To moderate the in-game community. We store chat messages to deliver them. For moderation, we use messages in public and guild chats, the content of complaints, and account data to enforce the rules of conduct — for example, to issue warnings, mute chat, or block accounts — and to review appeals. Moderators do not review private messages. Legal basis: performance of contract; our legitimate interests.
  • To analyze and improve the game. We analyze game events linked to your account identifier and technical data to understand how the game is used, balance gameplay, measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, and fix errors. We use the results in aggregated form. Legal basis: our legitimate interests; your consent where required for analytics cookies.
  • To comply with legal obligations. We process information where we are required to do so by law — for example, to keep accounting records or respond to lawful requests from competent authorities. Legal basis: compliance with legal obligations.

3. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

In Short: We share information only with the service providers and platforms that help us run the game, with advertising partners for attribution, and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

We may share your personal information with the following categories of recipients:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that host our servers and databases (see Section 6).
  • Payment providers and platforms that process your payments. We pass them the order details (product, amount, currency), a technical identifier of your account, and, where the provider requires it for fraud prevention, your IP address.
  • Sign-in services, messengers, and game platforms where you play or which you link to your account. They receive the information needed to sign you in, deliver bot messages, process platform payments, and show advertising on their platforms under their own privacy policies.
  • Analytics and error-monitoring service providers that help us understand how the game is used and detect technical errors. They may receive technical data, an online identifier (such as a cookie or account identifier), and information about in-game events and errors.
  • Advertising partners. If you came to the game through a partner's advertisement, we may notify that partner when you register or reach certain milestones in the game, passing the partner's click identifier and, for some partners, a technical identifier of your account.
  • Other players. Your nickname, characters, guild, rankings, and chat messages are visible to other players as part of the game.
  • Competent authorities, where we are required to disclose information by law or to protect our rights, our users, or others.
  • Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

4. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

In Short: We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings, and analyze how the game is used.

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) to keep you signed in, including as a guest; to remember your settings, such as language and sound; to keep sign-in processes secure; and to recover the game after technical errors. We also use analytics cookies of third-party web analytics services to understand how visitors use the website and the game and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. When you play on a third-party game platform or in a messenger, that platform may use its own cookies under its own policies, including for advertising shown on that platform.

You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block or delete cookies and local storage, you may need to sign in again, and a guest account stored only on your device may be lost.

5. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?

In Short: If you choose to register or log in to our Services using a third-party account, we receive certain information about you from that service.

Our Services let you play as a guest or sign in with a third-party account. The available sign-in options depend on your interface language and platform: for example, Telegram, Google, X, and Discord; MAX, VK ID, and Yandex ID; or the account of the game platform or messenger where you launch the game. Where you choose to do this, we receive and store the identification data that the provider makes available for authorization — for example, your user ID on that platform and the profile data the platform shares with us.

We will use the information we receive only for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant Services. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party provider. We recommend that you review their privacy notice to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information, and how you can set your privacy preferences on their sites and apps.

You can link several providers to one account and unlink a provider in "Settings" as long as at least one other provider remains linked; unlinking takes effect 7 days after the request.

6. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?

In Short: Our servers are in Germany, and some of our service providers may process your information in other countries.

Our servers are located in Germany (Frankfurt). Regardless of your location, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in Germany. Some of the third parties with whom we share your personal information (see Section 3), such as sign-in services, game platforms, payment providers, and analytics providers, may process your information in other countries, including countries whose data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Where we transfer your personal information internationally, we take reasonable measures to protect it in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law.

7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as your account exists and as needed for the purposes in this Privacy Notice, unless the law requires otherwise.

We keep your personal information for as long as your account exists and as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). In particular:

  • Account deletion. When you delete your account in the game or through support (see Section 13), it is deleted immediately if it has no character of level 10 or higher; otherwise, it is deleted 30 days after the request, and you can cancel the deletion in the game during that period. On deletion, your account is closed, your sign-in identifiers and nickname are removed, your nickname in other players' battle logs, chat mentions, and similar records is replaced with "[deleted]", and your characters, items, messages in global and private chats, and other game records are deleted. In both cases, the data is finally erased from our databases within 30 days after the deletion. The guild chat keeps a short recent message history, which is cleared over time.
  • Analytics records of game events and technical data are kept for 3 years. When your account is deleted, your analytics records are anonymized.
  • Guest accounts. A guest account that is not linked to any sign-in service and has not been used for 30 days is deleted automatically in the same way.
  • Purchase records are kept for 5 years for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes, including after the account is deleted.
  • Notification queues for our bots are kept only for the time needed to deliver the messages.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

8. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 16 years of age.

Ligmar Online is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 16 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 16 and, if you are under 18, that your parent or guardian has consented to your use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users under 16 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 16, please contact us at support@ligmar.io.

9. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: You may review, change, or delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights.

Depending on the laws of your country of residence, you may have the right to request access to your personal information, to request its correction or deletion, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it.

Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent by contacting us using the contact details provided in Section 12 below, and you can turn off browser push notifications in your browser settings.

However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

Account Information

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or delete your account, you can:

  • Change your nickname, language, and other settings, and link or unlink sign-in services, in the game's "Settings" section;
  • Delete your account yourself in "Settings" → "Delete Account";
  • Contact us at support@ligmar.io.

Upon your request to delete your account, we will delete your account and information from our active databases as described in Section 7. However, we may retain some information to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms, and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.

10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

11. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?

In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Notice and published at ligmar.io/privacy. If we make material changes to this Privacy Notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.

12. HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?

If you have questions or comments about this notice, you may contact us at:

13. HOW CAN YOU REVIEW, UPDATE, OR DELETE THE DATA WE COLLECT FROM YOU?

Based on the applicable laws of your country, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, details about how we have processed it, correct inaccuracies, or delete your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information. These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law.

You can delete your account yourself in the game: open "Settings" → "Delete Account". Before deletion, you need to finish any active activities on the account (for example, a battle or a contract in progress, guild membership, auction lots and bids, trading post orders); the game shows what is required. If the account has no character of level 10 or higher, it is deleted immediately; otherwise, it is deleted 30 days after the request, and you can cancel the deletion in the game during that period. In both cases, the data is finally erased from our databases within 30 days after the deletion.

To request to review, access, update, or delete your personal information, you can also send a request to support@ligmar.io. We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from the account owner.
