Update 0.42 — Special Gear, Ancient Sparks and Roulette

September’s update is packed with content! We’ve reworked core mechanics, refreshed locations, and added long-awaited features. Here’s a quick overview:

• ✨ Ancient Sparks and a New Shop: open Ancient Chests, collect Sparks, and claim the rewards you need in the Premium Shop.
• 🔴 Special-Quality Gear: the first five rare named items, with doubled base stats, fixed properties, and a guaranteed Ancient property.
• 👑 “Legends of the Origin” Legendary Collection: 12 appearances for every class and gender. Players who supported the project early will receive gold and fragments.
• 🎰 Roulette and Daily Leaderboard: try your luck in a new activity with rounds every 5 minutes, gold winnings, and bonuses for the day’s top three players.
• 🌒 Seasonal Currnecy and new goods: Currency stays with you until the end of the season, while White Clay and Hardened Souls have been added to the seasonal shop with no purchase limits.
• ⚔️ Dungeons, Contracts, and Raids: fair Silver distribution in groups, rewards for fast raids, and guild contributions.
• 🔨 Gear Enhancement: stat gains from +2 to +11 are now substantially higher, while axe base values have been rebalanced.
• 🗺️ Updated Locations and Interface Animation: new monster groups in three zones and smoother window animations.

New Ancient Sparks Shop

A new tab has opened in the Premium Shop, where you can buy valuable items directly with Ancient Sparks. No more relying entirely on chance: even if the item you need does not drop from a chest, you will still collect Sparks and can claim it from the shop.

• Main source: Ancient Chests — each chest immediately grants ×10 Ancient Sparks.
• Currency balance: displayed directly on the shop tab.

Special-Quality Gear

A new tier of equipment has arrived: special-quality gear. These are rare named relics with unique mechanics:

• Double power: an item’s base stats are 200% of those of standard counterparts.
• Fixed setup: every item has from 3 to 5 predefined magical properties; their composition and exact values never change.
• An Ancient property right away: one property is Ancient when the item is obtained.
• Guaranteed sockets: at least 2 sockets in armor and at least 1 socket in weapons.
• Customization: the remaining properties can be upgraded to Ancient through smelting under the usual rules.

⚡ Where to find them — and what comes next

These five items open a new tier of equipment. For now, Lv. 7 and Lv. 9 items can only be obtained from Ancient Chests.

In future updates, they will become part of ongoing progression: you will be able to collect resources in dungeons, the Temple of Darkness, and other challenges to craft the items you need. The list of special-quality gear will also be regularly expanded with new relics!

Legendary Appearance Collection

Meet the first legendary collection, “Legends of the Origin”! It includes 12 appearances: male and female versions for every class.

Thank you to everyone who has been with us from the beginning and helps develop Ligmar Online! Players who made purchases before August 1, 2026 (through July 31 inclusive) will receive a special thank-you:

• “Legends of the Origin” collection fragments to unlock and upgrade legendary appearances;
• Bonus Gold.

When you enter a city, a gift window will open, where you can immediately claim the reward for your account. You can claim the gift any time until December 1, 2026 (through November 30 inclusive).

Roulette

A new venue has opened in Zion for those who enjoy risk and excitement: classic Roulette! This activity is available to all players with a character at level 35 or higher.

Payout Odds

You can place and combine any types of bets within the round limit:

Season

We originally planned to allow the full transfer of Seasonal Silver to the main world. However, thanks to increased rewards and your activity, the amount of accumulated currency exceeded all expectations. Directly transferring such amounts could disrupt the economy and devalue Silver in the main world.

Rather than reduce rewards or write off balances, we chose the fair path: all currency you earn remains yours until the very end of the season! To help you invest it profitably in your character’s growth, valuable resources for Ancient smelting have been added to the seasonal shop:

Both resources are available with no purchase limits throughout the season.

Dungeons and Activities

Nameless Kiln

• In the Nameless Forge (the seasonal Temple of Darkness), gear is now guaranteed to drop with 4 properties: one is always Ancient, and the fourth is a unique seasonal magical property.

Group Dungeons

• Silver no longer drops from bosses in small portions. Instead, the full reward is granted when the dungeon is completed. The more tokens party members spend, the more Silver every group member receives!
• Experience rewards and boss loot remain unchanged.

Dungeon Contracts

• For successfully completing a contract, the customer receives Silver, Enhancement Crystals, and gear chests.
• The customer’s double-reward bonus now also applies to Silver.
• The contractor receives the dungeon’s base loot plus Gold for completing the contract.
• A contract counts when you complete a dungeon at the specified level or higher.

Raids

• Automatic dungeon runs now award not only experience, Enhancement Crystals, and gear chests, but also Silver.
• Raid cost and requirements are unchanged.

Guild Tax

• Guild tax now fairly accounts for Silver earned in raids and received by customers through contracts.
• The withheld portion is automatically sent to the guild treasury according to your current tax rate.

Gear Enhancement

We have updated the enhancement curve for gear from +1 to +12. Each enhancement step now provides a more substantial stat increase:

The gains from +2 through +11 have increased significantly! Please note: success chances, Enhancement Crystal costs, and the current enhancement level of your items have not changed.

• For legendary gear, the base value is calculated as if the item were 2 levels higher; for special-quality gear, as if it were 3 levels higher.
• Overstated axe base stats have been fixed: their progression now matches the overall weapon balance.

Jewelry

• The maximum gem level has been raised to 9. You can now fully equip level 9 gear in World II with gems of the appropriate rank!

Locations

• Cursed Garden (World I): the location has been reworked; level 7 and 8 monsters now have a more convenient placement for farming.

• Emerald Bay (World II): monsters are gathered into denser groups.

• Sunken Villas (Season): the location has been completely rebuilt; the compact event layout makes exploration and farming even more dynamic!

Interface

• The animation for opening pop-up windows has been updated: navigating menus is now faster, smoother, and more enjoyable.

Ancient Chest Contents

Every 100 openings guarantee a perfect item with one Ancient property: Epic quality in World I; in World II, there is a 90% chance for an Epic item and a 10% chance for a Legendary item.

🎁 Celebratory discount for the update release!

From the moment the patch is installed through Sunday inclusive, the shop offers a 20% discount on Ancient Chests.
